Our #StampOutHunger results are in - and they're incredible!
With the generosity of WNY, the partnership of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch & United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, and the support of amazing volunteers, 52,876 pounds of food were collected!
Every year, millions of Mother's Day cards reach moms across the country thanks to the dedicated letter carriers who make it happen. Happy Mother's Day from NALC, and a special shoutout to our members whose service helps families celebrate the people they love!
Thank you @MayorSeanRyan for proclaiming tomorrow, May 9, as Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Day!
Make sure to leave a bag of nonperishable food at your mailbox on May 9, and your letter carrier will pick it up on their route.
Last week, NALC was proud to honor nine of our members as Heroes of the Year in recognition of the heroic acts to help those in their communities. As letter carriers, we’re the eyes and ears of our communities, and these NALC members went above and beyond, acting with courage and compassion in moments of crisis.
This #MemberMonday, we're honoring 35-year letter carrier Kimberly Hulett. While walking her route, she spotted a 6-year-old boy running into traffic. She quickly pulled him to safety and, realizing he was nonverbal and autistic, called police and stayed with him until his family was found. Thanks for your service, Sister Hulett!
Congratulations to one of our recipients of the Honorable Act Award, Alexander Skomra from Buffalo-Western New York Branch 3!
Brother Skomra was in the right place at the right time. "The fact that I was able to be there, I'm very grateful for it."

During the holiday season, Buffalo-Western NY Branch 3 member Mike Wallace spreads goodwill, organizing clothing drives for men who have recently completed rehabilitation treatment and collecting sheets and pillows for families emerging from homelessness.

The recent string of violent assaults and armed robberies targeting postal workers is appalling. These women and men selflessly serve our neighborhoods, delivering medications, paychecks, ballots, and the essentials families rely on every day. An attack on a letter carrier is an attack on our entire community.
That’s why I’m proud to cosponsor the Protect Our Letter Carriers Act of 2025, bipartisan legislation that strengthens penalties for these crimes and provides USPS and its workers with the necessary tools to stay safe. Yet Speaker Johnson still hasn’t brought this bill to the floor for a vote. That must change.

This #MemberMonday, we're spotlighting the heroic, life-saving action of Buffalo-Western NY Branch 3's Lane Wolfe. Alarmed by the open door of a customer who usually greets him, Wolfe found the man inside, confused and unwell. Wolfe called 911 and stayed with him until EMS arrived, helping to save his life. Thanks for your service and compassion!
Five separate robberies of letter carriers in Western New York in under a month is forcing the union representing ail workers to call for action.

Today we celebrate 250 years of the @USPS – an essential public institution that’s kept our nation connected since 1775.
To every USPS employee: thank you for your service. I will keep fighting to protect and strengthen USPS for the next 250 years.
Thank you, @SenSchumer, for meeting with our New York members as part of their busy day on Capitol Hill! We’re grateful for your leadership, support and solidarity as we #FightLikeHell for letter carriers. 📬
Letter carriers connect Americans all across the country and keep our economy and small businesses moving — literally! I had an incredible time meeting with members of @NALC_National, and I'm proud to fight alongside you to pass the Protect our Letter Carriers Act.
