Not every investment needs to be about the next ten years. Sometimes, good financial planning is simply about where you keep the money you may need next.
An emergency fund.
School fees due in a few months.
Money being accumulated towards a deposit.
Business cash awaiting its next use.
Or simply capital that an investor is not yet ready to commit to a longer-term investment.
This money has something in common.
It needs to remain relatively accessible, but that does not necessarily mean it should remain idle.
The Arvocap Money Market Fund is designed to provide investors with a professionally managed solution for short-term capital, investing primarily in low-risk, short-term money market instruments.

Let me deploy the battering ram on the two LSK representatives to the JSC. Right now, the JSC is pushing the Delegate Legislation Committee of the National Assembly to table before the House for approval and enactment, the Rules on removal of Judges without taking into account the memorandum of the LSK as augmented by Ahmednasir Abdullahi, SC and I, during public participation.
In summary, we rejected the attempt in the Rules, to constitute the JSC a pre-trial Chamber Court for the removal of Judges. A detailed, deceptive and circumlocutory pleadings filing and hearing procedure had been proposed by Judges in the JSC. The intention was to ensure that no complaint reaches the Tribunal.
I hear that the LSK representatives to the JSC were outvoted on the issue by the Judges, and our views rejected by the majority Judges. How? The LSK representatives to the JSC cannot be weak personalities to be outvoted on an issue of law! Previous LSK representatives to the JSC were never weaklings.
Ahmednasir Abdullahi, SC single handedly set the agenda for interviews at the JSC. In fact, the public thought that he was the JSC. For Advocates, we knew that if he wanted an agenda to go through at the JSC it would.
Even the happy go lucky but unassuming Prof Tom Ojienda, SC was no pushover. Of course, he could promise three Judges of the Court of Appeal the post of DCJ causing a lot of domestic judicial-polygamy disputes to himself and his close associates like myself. But when there was hesitation in the appointment of the second C J, the gigantic son of Idi Amin called a press conference by himself and declared that C J David Maraga it was. They could do him nothing.
Macharia Njeru was equally resolute and firm. In more than three occasions, he issued his own press statements, disagreeing with the position of the majority at the JSC and stating his stand as the LSK representative.
I mean, a man must stand for something. He cannot be a pendulum. A man cannot be efulefutic. Put on lipstick, make up and oil your feet with Vaseline if you cannot be rough.
Florence Mwangangi was a good wingwoman for GM.
Dr Mercy Deche, SC never disappointed. Like a honey badger tackling a lion, she single handedly wrestled Prof J B Ojwang and Aaron Ringera to the ground, and demonstrated to the public how the two were not C J material. They could not bwogo her.
Look, Jacqueline Ingutia and Samson Omwanza Ombati, you two have let the LSK and the Kenyan public down. Why did you vie for these important offices knowing that you are cowards, people without a strong personality to convince or bulldoze the agenda of the LSK at the JSC? You should have just lobbied or bribed to be appointed into some of those offices that require docility.
Save for the hearing of a petition challenging the election of President, the Supreme Court sittings are virtual, with Judges attending from their homes and hotels or bars (at Water Front for instance). Tribunal hearings are equally virtual. Why do we need a Supreme Court building at a cost of Kshs 26B?
Put up a tent at Uhuru Park as and when a petition challenging the election is filed. The consumption of hot air and the chasing of geese is better done in a big open space.
Kenyan FARMERS, a severe El Niรฑo is forecast for Kenya from mid-2026 through Q1 2027, potentially worse than 1997. In '97, flooding killed 2,000+ people, wiped out 300,000 ha of crops, and killed over 600,000 livestock.
Here's a 14-step action plan. Start this week. ๐งต
Cheptongei Village Tribunal Judgement:
We agree with you that your neighour cut your fence & stole your cow. We can see the cow in his compound. But we are afraid we canโt return the cow as he has fixed the fence where he had cut. But to compensate you, we will give you a goat!
Case Dismissed.
When three judges comprising a bench mandated to determine weighty constitutional issues STUMBLE over ORDINARY English words they are supposed to have written in a unanimous judgment, it raises serious questions on whether SOMEONE else, or some other people, WROTE the judgment being read for them. It tends to imply some impropriety, even if only subliminally.
On another matter, it makes no sense for Kenyan judges to spend hours reading hundreds of pages of submissions by the parties. Itโs a waste of time and exposรฉs analytical mediocrity. We can do with brief summaries because submissions are NOT EVIDENCE.
Lastly, judges should not refer to parties with useless political honorific like โHis Excellencyโ. Parties must be treated equally, without CLASS HIERARCHY, hence โMr.โ or โMs.โ are adequate and appropriate.
Liverpool FC can confirm Arne Slot is to depart his role as head coach with immediate effect and that the process to appoint a successor is under way.
He leaves with a Premier League title to his name and our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
I'll also say this as someone who grew up on the nice side of the barbed wire fences and high gates in the very nice part of town where the Nigerian 0.1% live - learn to touch grass and worry about yourself because rich people really do not care about you. Like, at all.
The Nigerian rich don't even like each other. They barely tolerate one another and make practical alliances to preserve wealth and influence. And now that the economy is too small to support all the children of the Nigerian 0.1%, nearly everyone I grew up with in the nice, leafy part of town now lives in Toronto or London or wherever. You, Mr N250k/month Union Bank contract staff are not part of rich people's thinking at all.
At. All.
The rich have no plans for you. They have no plans to create opportunities for you. They have no plans to fix the things they broke on their way to building that N1bn townhouse in Parkview Estate. They have no plans to contribute towards making society better. If Satan came from Hell with a tail and horns growing out of his head and he ran for political office, the rich would all go make deals with him - because in the world of the rich, the only thing that matters is their own interests, and making sure that they never, EVER have to live like you or next to you.
So all this simping and vicarious fawning over wealth and fame that you people do everyday is the most redundant thing in the world - the rich have no intention of expanding their circle to let you in, and they have no intention of enabling the conditions for you to create your own independent circle of wealth. The only thing the rich need from you is to be poor and obedient, so that your labour can be cheap, plentiful and replaceable.
Statistically as a Nigerian, you will NEVER be rich or close to it. You will NEVER live in Maitama. 99.99% of Nigerians who have existed since 1960 have prayed and fantasised about becoming rich, and 99.99% of those prayers and fantasies never came true. That's just math. You will never be a rich and famous celebrity. You will never be a successful content creator. You will never make millions shilling crypto, trading Forex, sports betting, or whatever the fuck is the latest quick wealth fantasy in town. It's just not going to happen.
That being the case, a much more constructive use of your time would be to fight for the material elevation of what you actually have, where you actually have it. Instead of daydreaming about the N300m house in Lekki that 3 generations of your family cannot buy, get involved in a local effort to give your own immediate neighbourhood a facelift, or a political campaign to pressure the state to build high quality social housing.
If you hate being harassed without consequence online, instead of vicariously enjoying how a celebrity has used their wealth and influence to jail someone for making a horrid tweet, fight for a judiciary and legal system that is transparent and accessible to all, so that a singer living in the UK on a global talent visa doesn't get to have more access to your Nigerian justice system than you who lives in Nigeria 24/7.
Instead of building your mental architecture around the false idea of being a "temporarily embarrassed millionaire" who will someday take your rightful place on Banana Island, touch grass tonight and accept that it will never happen, and what you need to do instead is fight for where you are to become a better, more liveable place that you no longer wish to escape from. Stop cosplaying as rich folk. Stop cooing and fawning over rich folk. Stop daydreaming about someday "blowing up" and buying a house next to Burna Boy. Rich people have no intention of sharing their world with you. Free yourself from the tyranny of living vicariously through people who don't care that you exist.
Them no really send any part of your papa at all.
I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As Iโve always said, qualifying to next seasonโs Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
I thank H.E. William Ruto and the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) for organising the Africa We Build Summit. I am glad that the AFC are speaking my language, the language of revolution.
Africaโs GDP is only about $3.6 trillion despite our vast land and population. Countries like China were once very poor but transformed themselves through discipline, clarity of purpose, and investment. Therefore, Africaโs problem is not money; it is ideological.
One mistake Africans make when it comes to money is that they do not maintain capital. They earn money and build a house, buy a car, help people in the village, throw parties. They do not keep capital, they do not collaborate with others who have capital. Ownership of capital is how keep wealth over the long run.
If 5 people can jointly field 1bn, they can make more from the 1bn together than if they each had 200m.
Always grow your capital, and collaborate with people who also have capital so you can join deals. And never be greedy - the bigger your capital, the safer your investment target should be.
Work with the same people for long - if you know a retailer who regularly needs 10s of millions for restocking, be their capital provider over years. You too will know the business, and you will have a good sense of how at-risk your capital is. Chasing new ideas is often poor.
Many people have technical knowledge or access, but lack cash to execute - if you see them do it 2-5 times, join them on the 6th time with 10% of their need, then 20%, etc. Try to never cross 30% financing, otherwise you are taking all the risk.
Keep your capital liquid when it is small and lock up in safe, interest producing assets when it is large.
Only ever buy private homes or cars from your interest - your wealth is not your capital, it's your interest.
