«At least for some specific devices, new “anatomical” artificial teats must be used to simulate and characterise milking at laboratory level. 3 shapes have been designed to adapt to goat teat diversity.»
Dr John Upton #IDFMilkingTechnologies2023@FIL_IDF
"We evaluated the effects of increasing the ACR threshold and discuss the effects on milk yield, milking duration and average milk flow-rate in a long term study."
Prof. Douglas Reinemann #IDFMilkingTechnologies2023@FIL_IDF
In the future, we will see both small & large farms. The majority of cows will likely be milked on large farms. Box-style automatic milking systems are better for cows & people than large rotary ones, if $ competitive.
Prof. Rupert Bruckmaier #IDFMilkingTechnologies2023 by @FIL_IDF
“Complete, fast & gentle milk is possible at high milking vacuum: if the vacuum is reduced during low milk flow; & early cluster detachment has an additional beneficial effect on machine-on time & teat condition»
