Black people we are our own worst enemies. @KemiBadenoch never forget our 509 years of slave history and where we (and you) come from…silence on this issue could have been better. Africa feels betrayed.
@ChabzOfficial What’s the point of announcing or celebrating that inflation has come down to single digit, when it has no impact whatsoever on the lives of the people?
Visited several communities in my #KamwalaWard severely affected by floods, with some suffering damage to household goods, road access to homes cut off, but thankfully no deaths. I have activated emergency response protocols and engaged DMMU to quickly move in and provide relief.
@EverythingBW66 Lecturing ba Tswana from day one. 🤣 Whole country is a class. Debating the nation. Talk sharp. Dress sharp. Other time he was lecturing on the constitution. “Demonstrating the veracity of his opinions”. Yoh🤣
Passed through my favorite supermarket #cheersupermarket mall to buy my son yogurt, only to be met with this scenario…a stark reminder of how #loadsheeding is impacting the big supermarkets who have capacity to run on back-up mechanisms. What about the small shop owners?
Paid my last respects to a friend, comrade and fellow Kamwala resident who stood with me during the thick and thin of the struggle and never asked for anything in return. We can never repay you for your sacrifice and selflessness, only God. RIP Kaitwa Tabakamulamu #toughgong
The future of pothole mending has arrived. Better late than never. Lusaka City Council has acquired a state-of-the-art Mechanized pothole mending machine and it was first tried out in my ward, Kamwala. I endorse it fit for purpose. Efficiency and worker safety all rolled in one.
Joined multitudes of mourners from Kamwala and beyond in putting to rest Honest Kolala aka HK at memorial park cemetery Lusaka. His sudden death in his prime as a youth has left our community devastated. #RIPHK#Kamwalamourns#Kamwalaremembers
I seldom read for entertainment. I read to understand history, no matter how sad and sordid that history is, so that we who aspire for leadership, do not repeat the mistakes of our predecessors in the future…the mistake of #sellingthesilverware
After 15 years of relentless vandalism, the Bombay fence thieves have finally been caught by alert residents of Kamwala who spotted one of the suspects preparing to cut up the fence at a scrap yard in Misisi compound. These thugs moved with pangas, ready to kill if interrupted.
Gave the Minister of Local Government a guided tour of Kamwala Market and Inter City Bus Terminus during the bi-monthly keep Lusaka Clean and Green campaign. The challenges are many, but not insurmountable as long as we all take ownership of how we manage waste.
Lusaka DC Dates Kamwala Ward
Was honored to receive the Lusaka District Commissioner Madam Rosa Zulu who was checking on the progress of the rail-side road which is being rehabilitated for the first time after 25 years.
