What's your favourite London shopfront?
This 1959 lithograph shows the iconic James Smith umbrella shop and is part of a series of prints we are launching at the Bouncing off the Wall Graphic Art Fair in Shepherd's Bush W12 9PT on Sunday. Doors open at 12!
Boutiques is a trilogy on rare art deco French classics, with illustrations from Lucien Boucher and Henri Guilac.
Designed by @webbandwebb, the books were printed on Symbol Tatami Ivory by @KingsburyPress with @MainstonePress and @and_Printed.
When you open a book what’s the first thing you do? Inhale its intoxicating inky aroma, caress the toothiness and texture of the paper, admire the typography and design? If so you might enjoy this…

Take it from Mark E. Smith: “Lindsay Anderson was fuckin’ acidic! The best. If you want to know what Britain was like in 1973, watch O Lucky Man” Screening @BFI in May https://t.co/raOyBqiK7q
In our coffee table books special, we cover volumes on, variously: British folklore; Coventry Cathedral; assassinations of the 20th century; imaginary Parisian bookshops; letters of note; British jazz LPs 1960-1975; and cheese. https://t.co/Ez2QWOyUTQ
“Imagine if the literary greats of 1920s Paris were not in fact writers but shopkeepers…”
