@drgavinm Our school has never done dress up for WBD (I'm grateful!) This year the pupils could take in a clue to their favourite book or character and they had time guessing each others books etc. It worked well. A took in a yellow "pen" (that wasn't a "normal" pen).

@Myallergyboy Next term my S1 will do home ec, just wondering what yours did when they were cooking with his allergens. Have just started the conversation with the school, am interested to hear others experience!
@Myallergyboy I think our school supplies the food too. But will see once we make contact with the right person. Good to know you had a positive experience. Thanks!
@Myallergyboy Thanks very much! Appreciate your reply. He's worried about eggs, he can't touch raw egg, (had a couple of times I've not washed hands properly after cracking eggs and his face has suffered the consequences!) and lentils (the smell of lentil soup stresses him out).
@BirdsEyeUK@Redders_420 I was also disappointed to see these new burgers. Luckily we spotted the change as we have pea allergy in the house. Why mess with the burgers, a bit of pea won't make them healthier or save the planet.
@Myallergyboy We were at a bake sale at the weekend, 11yo was hoping that we'd let him have some from the gluten free section as it was away from the nuts, but I showed him your post to show him he needs to know more than just "gluten free". Thanks for sharing! I hate peas!
Every Wednesday in 43 primary schools @wfcouncil cook delicious ‘free from top 14 allergens’ dishes for ALL the children to enjoy.
Yesterday we joined them!
Parents of children with food allergies will know what a huge deal this is.

@Myallergyboy@CNSSinead weakly here too..... usually if he notices it smells funny😬or it it's got dusty in his med bag.... don't replace yearly either.... am off to wash it now, hopefully will be dry before the bedtime puff!
@DrMCrichton Was "end of week" defined in the original deal? Maybe your (friend's) motivation to return comments on the draft in a timely manner could be the 1000 push ups if the deadline for reply is missed....
THREAD 1. ‘What the hell just happened?’ - My partner (a 999 Fire Control supervisor) and I both used exactly the same phrase as we got home from work today. The true story of today will not become clear until incidents are debriefed, call and incident numbers are reconciled, and
@foodallergyuk At the moment 10yr old carries insulated med bag in a small rucksack, takes the same bag to clubs, parties and anywhere else. At the moment he's happy with the bag. Doesn't really go "out to play" etc do haven't crossed that path yet.
@hannahfearn Ah, we had 2 puffs, twice a day for a few years and that kept things at bay... now on one puff once a day and mostly ok. Yellow or blue spacer? We found the one with the mask much easier to use for a long time. Hope you can get something more effective.
@hannahfearn Is that with preventer inhalers already in place? Our viral wheeze almost went completely after starting daily clenil inhalers, and came back with a vengeance when we stopped them one summer. Now age 10 on very low daily dose.
@Myallergyboy In a similar vein, an innocent looking Xmas "milk bar" in @poundland contains peanut paste, could easily find it's way into Xmas treat bags from school, clubs, well meaning friends etc who just see the front and assume.
