Mr SHA/SHIEF Aden Duale sent his goons to attack and intimidate HIS OWN people, to frighten them into silence with the only language the Ruto regime he serves knows: force.

And the people of Garissa answered not with fear, but with numbers. They stood firm. They came out in their thousands, undeterred, unbought, and unbowed.

Asanteni sana, watu wa Garissa, kwa msimamo wenu na huu mwitikio mkubwa. Mmeonyesha Kenya na dunia kwamba wazalendo hawatishiki.

Let the regime send its stones, batons, teargas and bullets. None of it is an argument, and none of it is a plan for the economy, for our youth, for the cost of living crushing our people. It is simply the last resort of those who have run out of ideas and who are terrified of the will of the people.

The message from Garissa is unmistakable: #WANTAM! The idea of change cannot be teargassed into retreat, clubbed into submission, or battered into silence.

Earlier this evening, I commiserated with my brother and Kisii County Senator Richard Onyonka following the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Teresia Nyaboke Omoke.

I was accompanied by members of the Jubilee Party NEC and leaders from across the country as we stood in solidarity with the family during this difficult time of grief and loss. Mama Teresia will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the values she instilled in her family and community.

May her soul rest until the resurrection morning.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dr Job Obwaka, a veteran gynaecologist and respected medical leader who devoted his life to advancing healthcare and strengthening Kenya’s medical institutions.

He was a man of principle and conviction who never compromised on his values, even in recent times when he faced immense pressure and intimidation, he remained steadfast, ultimately enduring arrest and emergency medical distress after refusing to compromise his principles.

That courage defines his legacy.

He will be remembered not only for the many lives he touched as a doctor, but also for the integrity and strength he upheld throughout his service. Kenya has lost a dedicated professional, a reformer, and a true patriot.

On behalf of Wiper Patriotic Front, my family and myself, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all Kenyans who share in this loss.
