H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta & First Lady Margaret Kenyatta are the first recipients of sample Huduma cards. Dr.@FredMatiangi said the NIIMS is ready with issuance of the cards will begin once the National Assembly finalizes appointment of Data Commissioner as directed by court.

Together with my @MoICTKenya colleague @jeroch1, we engaged members of the Parliamentary Committee on Delegated Legislation during a pre-publication scrutiny of two draft regulations that will pave the way for the operationalization of NIIMS & issuance of @hudumanambake.

The government is well on course to operationalize NIIMS. PS @Karanjakibicho has told the Parliamentary Committee on Delegated Legislation that mass production of Huduma cards will begin by end of this year adding that a centre for this purpose is 90 percent complete.
