Very realistic to pay 7.5-10% all in.

There is more of a focus on pork here and if you see beef on a menu it's usually veal.

My wife is American and I am Irish. Both our parents are getting older so PY felt far from both. Cheap flights in Europe make Ireland an easy option and opens up more flight options for the US also.

Low taxes, very family friendly, lots of great spots 2-3 hours drive away.

I'm a resident of PY and I would 100% live there, just felt guilty asking grandparents to fly so far to visit our lil man.

A lot of places want house sitters to help with pets they have but then request no kids because of the pets.
