Oregon got this year’s version of the Penn State easy path to the semifinals.
Texas Tech in the second round is a tougher matchup than Boise State was for PSU last year, but still, have to imagine the Ducks are thrilled with that seeding.
Is it just me, or are Michigan’s pass rushers acting like they think Julian Sayin is Michael Vick or something? Other than Derrick Moore, they’re all trying to push and contain.
And Moore keeps losing sight of Sayin, getting behind him, and not working back to him.
That was an odd use of timeouts at the end of the game. Put Michigan in position of needing a first down to run out the clock for the final kick.
Kind of crazy to get a win in a game where you turn it over five times and miss two field goals.
I’d say through the first five, all of this year’s games were slightly better. Oklahoma game was closer than Texas. Better offense and didn’t give up late scores to CMU. Defending a lead at Nebraska vs comeback against USC.
This loss to USC was worse though than at Washington.
Been thinking about how this season weirdly aligns with last season. So far, both went W, L, W, W, W, L.
W1: Defense not as expected. Opponent lingers around, but never threatens to tie or lead.
W2: Outmatched.
W3: Easy win.
W4: D-line dominant, but still gave up lots of pts.
The Illinois player might not have been down on the fumble, but I think that should have been stopped for forward progress. He was facing the wrong way being dragged backwards.
That Lions schedule is crazy. Road games at Baltimore, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Washington, LA Rams and Cincinnati, home games against Tampa, Pittsburgh and Dallas, plus the regular Minnesota and Green Bay rotation.
That’s every NFC playoff team and three AFC playoff teams.

Michigan’s defense really figured something out in the second half against Indiana. They only given up 32 points in their final 14 quarters.
That’s the equivalent of 9.14 points per game, with two playoff teams and Alabama among their opponents.
