[Viktor sighs heavily as yet another test run on the machine fails. He glances at the clean yet boiling water in the container as his hands drop in defeat. Giving up wasn't entirely in his plans for this project, but he sure considered it from time to time.]

We would need to build a structure in the roof, and I'm not sure if father would approve.

@CommonJayce [That gets Viktor's attention. He lifts his head and glances at him for a second before looking at the ceiling.]

The air is cooler at a greater height.

[He mumbles to himself and looks back at Jayce.]

Done that. The currents are neither strong nor cold enough to cool down the machine. And the windows in this room are not big enough.

@CommonJayce The coldness was enough to keep the machine cool and to get the water to come out at room temperature, but it is almost impossible to employ it on a bigger scale. We would have to source immense amounts of ice every month, and we don't have the resources for that.

Same as always. The water /is/ clean, but boiling. This cannot go into our sewage system without irreversibly damaging it.

The medic just checked on Jayce again. He is a lot better and should be able to resume his duties tomorrow.

@fay_hyu Yes, I summoned the medic as soon as I learned of Jayce's illness, and medication has already been formulated for him. He is being taken good care of.
