@loxeigh@Serdizzle@RaidenFm@Voldjaw@Sareniia Facts. And Funny enough I abhor personal social media, yet made a career working for literally the biggest social media people in the world.
So many ways to show off your skills just gotta be creative
@Sosowski@randomi777 Can you educate these ppl and I on what makes it code slop, or like like a specific example you've done in like the past week a month with what these people call a "proper AI coding setup."
(Someone said using headroom, ponytail in Claude code etc.)
@NightmareReape4@troygentic Yes you certainly can so when you do nothing, and you complain about society, you now know why :)
Freedom to do what you want doesn't mean you escape the consequences ;)
@NightmareReape4@troygentic Go lobby in Congress. Write to your senator. create a community for artists. Create your own AI on your own art and sell it And create a viable example. DO ANYTHING but just complain and expect the world to move for you, or else youre just as complicit as everyone else.
@nemui_nekoooo I will say a yes man isn't what gets you quality, it's what pushes your idea forward.
My best creative partners are the ones that tell me when I'm being dumb, but my best executors are the ones that are able to flush out the project in a way that fixes the kinks along the way.
@TheMG3D AI isnt alive nor sovereign, so "it" is not stealing, the human behind it is.
Stop anthropomorphizing an inanimate object and trace blame back to the human operator of the tool
@Serdizzle@loxeigh@RaidenFm@Voldjaw@Sareniia we have to adapt if constrained on what tools you can or can not use.
smartest things I've seen an artist do is make their own version ai based on their art and sell use of that AI.
It's like royalties without a middleman and you can claim generations automatically.
@Serdizzle@loxeigh@RaidenFm@Voldjaw@Sareniia Another way is find good ToS from platforms etc.
Physical art wont be replaced by AI because people will always want to display physical art.
If it's digital, you should learn how to make physical copies, but you're automatically at less value than a physical painting naturally
@Serdizzle@loxeigh@RaidenFm@Voldjaw@Sareniia These are ways to sell without doing stuff on the platform because ToS usually makes you accept that the company can use your uploaded image/video for data etc.
@Serdizzle@loxeigh@RaidenFm@Voldjaw@Sareniia Advertise at local fairs, reach out to art museums, pay for Google adverts, create posts with your art censored and drive traffic to your site, make your own video game and host your art inside it, sell physically to clinics and hotels, talk to art directors to sell film propart
@PCjank@bayeschat In addition, I think AI is not a substitute for quality, so you can make that MVP, but a finished product requires a feedback loop, testing and true attention to detail.
@PCjank@bayeschat Yes! For example, I made a fun little game to play with my nephews. Not something for release by any stretch of the means but connecting with them And seeing their amazement when they can create something from their imagination is really cool
@Winfield_24 Steal back then. It's moral in this case because it's just reclaiming what was taken from you.
At the end of the day, we live in a world that sometimes doesn't care about our emotions and we have to act on our best interests.
@bayeschat@PCjank Agreed. Long horizon tasks that use a lot of searching and things that tend to take up tokens is great for local AI
Also just learning how to use AI And how it works is creative for local
It's honestly much more fun than using cloud AI (and more rewarding)
@Atreyeu_ I think the winners will be those who learn how to use the tool in an augmented way rather than a dependency.
And as far as token usage, if people were smart enough they would probably just have their local LLM as well
