My home town has been in underwater for four years now, and nearly a millions of people have become homeless because of climate change and conflicts which have been destabilsed the Bentiu region for almost a decade, and then now the new enemy has emerge which is the climate.
kiir is a genius dictator, he knew that the oil will have no use in the near future becauase of climate changes. That's why he is building his village using the oil money befor it's too late. pumping the oil out from Bentiu and sold it and then use the money to build Akon village
South Sudan is a country where the village road is being build with tarmac, while some of states are being abandoned, even the Bentiu which is the oils leading producer in the country, it has left with no roads, and they just pumping the oil out from it.
Truth be told, Kiir is showing us that this country is owned by one ethnic. He's sacking Dinka and replace with another dinka, and the Dinka on media are just cheering, but when you talk about it they will said you're a tribalist. I think Kiir is not a normal drunkard. #ssot
For #RefugeeWeek, we were privileged to host a panel with DLA Piper, shedding light on the refugee crisis. We were inspired by Giel Malual, a South Sudanese advocate for refugee rights, who shared his incredible journey of resilience and determination.
