This book is written through a religious lens, which may or may not apply to you, but it's fantastic and I think about it a lot in moments of extreme stress.
@TreciaKS A lot of it comes down to philosophy. Windows tends to have big programs that do lots of things. Linux especially has small composable ones. For dev purposes, the second tends to work really well. Very productive devs in both, though. Use what works for you.
@SharkWipf@nixcraft I am in the same boat. After Gentoo,I find it hard to get another distro exactly like I want. And I know so much about how it all fits together and love that. But it's tough to recommend because it's a big hurdle.
@TheDeltaFlyers been really enjoying going through these again with you, thanks!
I saw something recently about the phrase "some kind of" being overused, and now I can't stop hearing it! Why is it "some sort of cave", and not just "a cave"?!
Logged into @turbotax with @vivaldibrowser and was greeted with a message that suggested updating my browser (because it was not one of the big 4), but didn't prevent me from moving on. Thank you for implementing browser checks in a sane way!
