@TreciaKS A lot of it comes down to philosophy. Windows tends to have big programs that do lots of things. Linux especially has small composable ones. For dev purposes, the second tends to work really well. Very productive devs in both, though. Use what works for you.

@SharkWipf @nixcraft I am in the same boat. After Gentoo,I find it hard to get another distro exactly like I want. And I know so much about how it all fits together and love that. But it's tough to recommend because it's a big hurdle.
