@eyemissxv @lulalala_it @atlanticesque 2001 a space odyssey is great, john williams stuff like star wars and indiana jones is good too, all of the lotr movies have great soundtracks too. as for videogames I havent seen much in concert but I really enjoy the score to breath of the wild and would love to play it

@lulalala_it @atlanticesque by "good" or "bad" I mostly mean for how they fit with live orchestra, there are a lot of great film scores that don't benefit more from the orchestra being live, so sometimes symphonies will program a movie because it's popular even though the orchestra parts aren't as involved

@PolyBBenson @Countbyinfinity @atlanticesque yes! silent movies were accompanied by live musicians, I even did a similar gig at a silent film festival last year

@Countbyinfinity @atlanticesque they play the movie in the symphony hall using a massive projector screen, orchestra plays the soundtrack to the movie live as the movie plays, really fun experience if you can get to see it!
