Additionally I got to meet voice actors for 2 of my fav childhood characters. Been waiting 20 years to meet Sean Schemmel, and he had signed a poster my mom made for me just as long ago. Both he and Quinton Flynn were absolute gems, 10/10 experiences

@FreshwaterCacti I had to move several times, worked full time just to tread water.
I really wish the pressure would ease off new artists because there IS a learning curve, mistakes WILL happen, but as a fandom we don't allow room for that growth
It's hard to climb out, sometimes it feels downright impossible, and burnout becomes a burden.
Don't get me wrong, it's on the artist to bail themself out, but there's societal expectations in our community/fandom that make it as common as it is and that's a problem.
Living off art is HARD. Even harder when the art is built from expensive consumable materials. There are so many considerations to be made and the time/work/price balance for the ARTIST is almost never discussed. It's absurd to expect artists (new to paid work) to navigate this
#cosplay do you like your scale mail with spiky edges or rounded? Cuz these embroidered scales add an eye catching detail that holds up to the washing machine! Some scandalous ankle shots of these layered on my shins. PM me your orders and level up!
