This is such a great touch. Rodion Amirov was Toronto’s 1st-round pick the year Akhtyamov was drafted. Really glad to see him remembered here in this moment by Ryan Hardy
The end of The Big Bang Theory felt huge because it wasn’t just a finale — it was the end of a show people had grown up with for 12 years. By the time they filmed the last episode, the cast already knew this was the final table read, final jokes, final scenes on those sets they’d lived in for over a decade… and apparently the room was emotional almost immediately.
During the final episode read-through, a lot of the cast were crying before they could even finish lines. Kaley Cuoco has said she was “sobbing” through parts of it, and photos from backstage showed people hugging constantly between takes. Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and the others all talked about how strange it felt seeing the apartments and cafeteria sets one last time knowing they’d never return there together again.
The final scene especially hit hard because it was quiet and simple — everyone eating together in the apartment like always while Sheldon’s Nobel speech played over it. No giant dramatic ending, just their normal life continuing. That’s why so many fans cried too; it felt like saying goodbye to friends rather than just characters.
And the audience during the taping was emotional too — long standing ovations, people tearing up during Sheldon’s speech, and huge applause when the elevator was finally shown working after years of jokes.
Something Sundin has and is going to prioritize in the future is people and players that want to be in Toronto and crave the spotlight.
Darren Raddysh goddamn pisses Passion™️ and will take pride in wearing the Leaf.
@ProducerDrew_@Steve_Dangle
Can't put into words how complicated this was to create as someone who knows absolutely nothing about video editing.
Anywho.
Watching Steve's last vid was pretty much felt like this
Worth noting: His father passed away in March after a year-long battle with an aggressive cancer, and his mom is based in Toronto. He and his wife (from Toronto too) also have an infant son. Family wins over weather, in my books, every time.
Might be crazy… but i’d keep Rielly.
McCabe-Raddysh
Rielly-Tanev
OEL-Carlo
That’s a very solid d core, we can pretty much play each pairing equal minutes. Raddysh takes a huge load off of 44, eats up most of his PP time.
Seravalli on Frankly Hockey says he's been told by some teams calling Leafs on Knies that the price is exorbitant, incredibly high
Teams have asked themselves if Leafs are actually willing to entertain moving him or if they're trying to find a desperate team willing to overpay
Toronto's ask for Matthew Knies is going to be a massive haul that involves a top defender and a draft pick
But according to Nick Kypreos, the Maple Leafs are going to entertain an offer for Knies but are only going to start the conversation if teams approach with an appropriate package - one that contains a serious haul that would make some think twice:
“Possibly a top-pair D, a first-rounder, and a secondary player... If they move [Matthew Knies] in the next few days, it'll be to get back into the draft.”
That right there is a pretty heavy package and depending on the players in return, could be the way John Chayka transforms the lineup.
The addition of a first-rounder is interesting and depending on which teams he talks with, it could end up being in the top-15.
That would allow the team to get a very good prospect in a draft class loaded with them, while also shoring up the defensive side of things and adding potentially another mobile defender or a young promising forward.
