saw an interesting post today and it made me think about how patriarchal society saps youth from both men and women. women are expected to give up their youth to a gross old man and men are expected to spend it labouring for the possibility that they could be the gross old man
@Rebis_17 Interesting. When you say "view it as a broader concept ...", what do you mean? Can you give me some examples? Curious about this.
On labels, i think the existence of a given specific label doesn't necessarily make it a separate gender category from another label.
I have never seen a nonbinary identity that is not Neutral (either Mixed or Neither), Functionally A Man, Functionally A Woman, or just Personality Trait / Interest. This is why I think there are three, maybe four actually existing genders tops
my closest real life friend is someone I can see maybe three times a year tops and I have yet to make a single friend in three years of university despite constantly trying so I think I should just give up entirely
@nolightupstairs@a_hiding_person Super is potentially the best in the world and it hasnโt even reached full effect. Itโs a massive diversified pool of investment capital that keeps the country moving. Imagine how powerful itโll be by the time Millenials, the first generation to have always had it, start retiring
@Andyroo992 Maybe, but a lot of the described third genders in traditional literature are like Hi Weโd Like To Be Called Women And Try To Live Our Lives As Women In Absence Of Modern Medical Treatment and the rest of society goes Ha, Isnโt Our Neither Male Nor Female Third Gender So Quirky.
@gidlizzie Itโs not Just about function, but gender IS a social construct; it impacts how you interact w/ society. Binary transsexuals, even b4 they know themselves, interact w/ society differently to cissexuals of the same natal sex, so internal identity does impact interactions
