FEAT have put forward a submission for a panel on ticket resale at the first @sxswlondon2025, but it's the public who decide what they want to see.

With @Keir_Starmer already pledging to crack down on touts, it’s nuts that @viagogo behaves like this: Scots targeted in 'spec selling' scam on Viagogo as con artists rip off fans @FanFairAlliance @PeteWishart https://t.co/2JonxHgDnY
Across the pond from Europe, tix to see @kendricklamar are being resold before they go on sale in Arizona – despite the State banning speculative ticketing only eight months ago! Another example of dodgy practice by @StubHub#MakeTicketsFair
Concerned to see resellers&scalpers selling speculative tickets before they have even gone on sale to the public. This directly violates Arizona’s ban on this deceptive practice—the ban we passed under HB2194. Why is @StubHub allowing these listings in violation of state law?
This week, Barcelona City Council unanimously agreed to fight against illegal ticket resale and support the work of FEAT! Thank you to Francesc Xavier Marcé Carol for putting forward the motion. @bcn_ajuntament@TheTicketingBiz@DoctorMusicTuit

Our friends at @FanFairAlliance report on an “industrial level of touting fraud rife on Viagogo with touts selling thousands of tickets they don’t own".

Tickets sold on unauthorised resale sites, at extortionate prices and against the promoter's wishes, will now be re-listed on Ticketmaster at face value. This is a step forward to prevent ticket touting at major events!
Chris Bryant, "Hang on, in the words of Shania Twain: that don't impress me much"
@RhonddaBryant takes on inflated ticket prices 👏
"There's no point in bringing forward new laws if you can't enforce them"
"Whenever I post about this on Twitter, or X, or whatever, people come back saying Bryant do things that matter to your constituents. Well this is one of the issues.. And government is able to do more than one thing at the same time"
"We need to put fans back at the heart of music, or live events, or sports, and that is part of a wider strategy of government to rejig the economy so it works for all of us"
"Things have got worse since 2012.. It was a bit of a cheek from the opposition to pretend they haven't been in government for 14 years"
"What we see in the secondary market is a form of leeching off the creative endeavours and the fan led passion of so many others"
"Let me give you some examples: Olivia Rodrigo, you can get tickets from SubHub for 1st of July next year for £1,506 - face value £200"
"But if you go to Viagogo, for exactly the same event, almost identical tickets, it's £2,573 for a ticket at face value is £50.. That is a 5,146% increase, that is shocking"
"It's not just about music.. It's sports.. England vs South Africa.. £889.. Face value £145"
"This is an endless daily source of frankly racketeering"
"It's based on a fundamental unfairness and that's what we want to put right"
ICYMI: Sam Shemtob from @FEAT_org spoke to @IQ_Mag last week about the organisation's fifth AGM, and why the EU's #DigitalServicesAct has been slow to help with fighting illegal ticket resale 🇪🇺

Despite a crackdown on ticket scalping, it only takes two minutes to find a top-end ticket to see Oasis in Melbourne listed on Viagogo for over AU$ 3,600 (€2,247) 🤔 with plenty more listed higher than 10%!

Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said surging sales of Oasis tickets on the secondary market illustrate the need for Congress to step in and regulate the industry https://t.co/wqYhxdND6i
Known as 'speculative ticketing', resellers will list tickets they don't yet possess at massively inflated prices - and fans risk paying for tix that don't exist 😓
With little way to get compensation, we recommend buying from the authorised ticketing platform for the concert!
Scalpers are already listing hundreds of Oasis tickets for shows in NY, LA, Chicago, Toronto, and Mexico City at prices as high as $3,000—before they’re even on sale. These “ghost” tickets aren’t guaranteed, leaving fans at risk of cancellations and no access to the show.
The @youmeatsix farewell tour has partnered with
@tixelofficial to say farewell to ticket touts!
Resale on Tixel is capped at face value + 10% which allows sellers to cover additional costs like booking fees & admin charges.
