@Dale_Chu Yep. Can confirm. Everyone’s resume now has a 3.5 or higher. You used to have to work really really hard to get a 3.4 in a real major like math or engineering. Now, it’s just handed out, and everything is diluted.
@ErikLindy It’s just people engagement posting this. It gets repeated like a broken record on single day. It’s a low IQ post intended to invoke a reaction.
@HolmerNoah Because the average Joe is more impressed by distance versus understanding how difficult a sub 20 or sub 18 5k is versus a 17 hour iron man.
People seem to just keep adding distance instead of trying to get faster at the mile, 5k, or 10k.
🚨 JUST NOW: Jeff Bezos’ New Glenn rocket has EXPLODED into a MASSIVE fireball on the launchpad at Cape Canaveral in Florida
It literally looks like a NUCLEAR BOMB went off.
@ElonMusk responded: “Most unfortunate. Rockets are hard.”
Insane to watch.
@LouisPunished Yeah this type of graduation stuff every few years needs to stop. It’s a complete joke. Graduations are reserved for actual accomplishments.
@Brady_H I still want every Olympics event to have some average joe, even a guy who may have done the event in HS, to participate just so people can see Jim from 2012 varsity a lap and a half behind during the mile run.
@txbeergoddess Imagine an AI trained specifically on taking financial data and generating detailed reports. That’s all it can do. If you previously had a group of five people doing that and now the AI does it in minutes versus hours, what are you going to choose?
AI is much more than LLMs
@txbeergoddess Because domain specific AIs that you and I do not get to see are significantly better than your chatbot. Many of these are developed in-house and are proprietary AIs as well.
@ChristoFascisto Boomers are also extremely unhealthy and overweight, which is what millennials realized and tried to change by opting for healthier food.
Millennials are not eating fish sticks and tv dinners for supper or PB&J for lunch.
@Wendi_Irlbeck@washingtonpost I wonder if it’s to do more with the “eating 7 carb. gels” within 2 hours for a total of 200 g of carbohydrates plus all the carb loading leading up to races.
I highly doubt this can be “good” for someone. Generally, everything is a U-shaped curve, and they’re likely past it
@ngdpc1 I still cannot comprehend the amount of people who think: 1.) Elon makes $200 billion per year (its accumulated wealth value on paper) 2.) That he has $200+ billion sitting in a Bank of America account. It’s unrealized gains for the most part.
