On Julius Malema, Elon Musk& Penuel The Black Pen
Written by Penuel Mlotshwa

I've been a huge fan of Julius Malema... since his ANC Youth League days... a brave, vocal, young lion who shook the political landscape in unimaginable ways!
I'd argue that he inspired many young leaders like myself, & many others... & reminded us that the fight was bigger than worshipping ANC elders... and that we cannot respect elders who are disrespecting the fight for the true liberation of poor, black South Africans & all South Africans in general.
I voted for the EFF at the 2019 national elections, particularly because the EFF was bringing young leaders into Parliament at a time when the ANC only had old men & women sleeping in the benches, and refused to give young people a shot. They had also destroyed the ANC Youth League.
Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, Floyd Shivambu & Mam' Khawula have been my favourite EFF members, and raised parliamentary proceedings - with Juju - 1000%... amazing leadership, and inclusive leadership.
Unfortunately, as I grow & change & engage the world... I cannot support the EFF in its current form:
- I currently don't support the call for open borders
- I think the leadership are capitalist hypocrites, who pretend to be communists/socialists for votes & hype
- Julius flip-flopped with Jacob Zuma
- Julius flip-flopped with Thabo Mbeki
- Julius flip-flopped with Cyril Ramaphosa
- Julius comes across as having issues with whites but happily does business with them behind closed doors
- Julius, on a radio show, articulated that the EFF is a pacifier for the poor, black masses so they don't attack the well-off, like himself & rich white people
- Ndlozi put me off when he attacked Bill Gates for being a school dropout... that was lame & ignorant, for a supposed academic & intellect
- The VBS links obviously weren't too great, & I can imagine there are more scandals, as with most other politicians
- Julius is pushing his African leadership career, regardless of whether it doesn't put South Africans first
Julius, like Gayton McKenzie, loves power... almost at all costs. He lost Andile Mngxitama. He lost Mandisa Mashego. And I'm sure others as well. Nothing wrong with clashing ideologies, but some of the people he lost stand for causes that he flip-flops on... land, women's rights, nationalization, homosexuality, etc.
I don't mind that he wants power, but I sense a similar snake to the Apartheid ANC cadres, who pretended to be for the ppl...so whites can pick them as their favoured puppets, and then abandoned the struggle as soon as they got tenders, board seats & BEE shares.
"Dubul' iBhunu" (Shoot the Boer) is a very polarizing chant/song from the struggle days, & I shared my personal views 2 days ago, on my YouTube channel, Penuel The Black Pen, about Malema & the EFF singing it at their 10-year celebration.
I congratulated Julius & the EFF in the video & offered my solutions, and thoughts on Elon Musk as well. All done with class, consideration & looking to protect the EFF, Elon Musk & hopefully calm the racial tension that this matter has sparked, this week.
I'm sure a few influential ppl saw it & shared it with him, and that may have annoyed him. He may have not really seen the video, based on his utterings, & that's okay.
But the name-calling was unnecessary, in bad taste & a reminder of why I've lost some love for him as my leader prior. He does this with everyone he's in some power struggle with... almost as a form of jealousy that others (maybe his handlers) are seeing another young boy with a voice...
...it's like he must show the rich white funders that he's still the chosen black for the poor black masses. He'll bash ANC leaders, PA leaders, ActionSA leaders, etc... but laugh, dine with & do business with them, behind closed doors.
