Listeners who passed on @skilletmusic's most recent album, Dominion, would do well to pick up the forthcoming expanded edition coming later this month. (See my original review for @jfreakhideout here: https://t.co/MDMZWCkyt4
@DanKoch Hey Dan! I've been trying to track down "A Long Story Short" and "These Ruins," as well as "I'll Beat You Up" to complete my Sherwood collection. Is there anywhere I can buy these? Thanks!
@tacobell Hey guys; were were excited to pick up the free box today, especially since I finally convinced my wife to try the Bell last week (she liked it). Really disappointed that your app seems to be broken.
@VP Mr. Vice President, my family and I live in the Seattle area. What is happening is terrifying; it's like we're living in Syria. Please help us. It is clear that Governor Inslee and the police chief will not. @realDonaldTrump@POTUS
@edstetzer Curiously enough, I believe that great distance from power can also do the same. Revolutions, uprisings, and riots are often brutal, sadistic, and cruel (and often misdirected) massacres at the hands of those who feel disenfranchised.
I'm deeply saddened to learn that Christopher Tolkien has died. No one has done more to enrich JRR Tolkien's legacy. Indeed, no one else could possibly have achieved what he has done. And I'll always be grateful for his advice and support for my own work.
@Sean_McDowell 2/2 This is to portray the face of evil and wickedness in a dramatic fashion. I'm not suggesting that being inundated in this material is healthy, but the biblical authors used this modality of storytelling, and to suggest that it is invalid in other mediums is a gross stretch.
@Sean_McDowell 1. I don't disagree the entire premise, but his argument that "the Bible ... does not describe [violence] in gory detail" seems to ignore Genesis, Judges, and the Kings, which cover extreme graphic content. It serves the purpose to not to glorify it, but to shock the reader. ...
@JavierPlumey@newreleasetoday Must be. Which *certainly* shouldn't be the goal of any critical review. However, as the hype from the fans dies down, it does seem that the majority of the critics are less than thrilled with #Victorious. The relentless obsession over a middling review is beyond strange, though.
Found a pretty silly article from @newreleasetoday which essentially suggests that "#Christian art" (whatever that is) isn't fair game for professional critique. Perhaps this attitude is why most #ChristianMusic & media are routinely panned outside of the #church. #followthemoney
@CTmagazine You guys are really caught up on race-baiting these days. #CNN much? There is such a greater focus on what divides us rather than what unifies us.
@KevinMcNeese Kevin, it's attitudes such as yours and @newreleasetoday which have fueled the laughable decline of quality Christian music vs. secular. The cheapening of worship and selling of the Gospel is a disgrace to the Jesus I know. Can you even see Him in your industry? I struggle to.
@KevinMcNeese @johnlcooper@jfreakhideout That you view my average rating as a "public bash" reveals a great deal about your pay-to-win site. You've just invalidated the authenticity of NRT as well as communicated that Skillet and other Christian artists can't handle valid criticism. Your patronizing reeks of "maturity."
@johnlcooper Well, feel free to take or leave my criticism. The heart behind all of my reviews to push artists to be their very best, and to highlight what *I* think are the best albums coming out right now. Best wishes from a longtime fan, John.
@johnlcooper Hey John. Yeah, I know I gave your album a not-great, average review. If you're angry about it, take it up with me; don't blast the rest of the #JFH staff. I used to really look up to you when I was a teen, but now I'm just disappointed by this mud-slinging.
