Potential MLB expansion in Sacramento would come with a nearly $2 billion public-private investment tied to a new ballpark district in West Sacramento.
The proposed stadium site would sit in the River District, just south of Sutter Health Park, as part of a fully controlled and entitled 50-acre mixed-use development.
Funding breakdown:
• $800M in land + private investment
• $1B expected from the City of West Sacramento through TIF, hotel fees & other sources
@CBSSacramento
I rarely add my own perspective to a newscast. But on Memorial Day, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice deserved an exception. Today — and every day — we remember those who gave everything for our country. 🇺🇸
Here's my brief tribute on this weekend's edition of @CaliforniaICP.
OMG LOL
Collins: You've called Hilton unethical and dishonest and said that he swindled his way into the Republican side.
Bianco: I've don’t think I’ve ever used the word swindle. I don't know if you were quoting something.
Collins: It's a quote from you to The Atlantic.
Bianco: I've never used the word swindle.
Collins: But you're denying that you said these quotes?
Bianco: I would never use the word swindled, but the context—yes, I have said that.
Collins: Because this says it's from an interview with KBAK that happened in April of this year, where you said he's trying to figure out how he can manipulate californians to put him in this position at a time when we know that California Democrats have failed and we are going to vote for a Republican governor, and he has swindled his way into the Republican side, even though he's not.
Bianco: I probably did say that.
BREAKING: Democrat Betty Yee is suspending her campaign for California governor.
I spoke with her prior to her announcement. She says she made the decision on her own, adding when it came to polling and resources “those things weren’t coming together.”
She isn’t endorsing today, said that could come in a few days. Here are her comments about Tom Steyer and Katie Porter ⬇️
I asked California candidate for governor Tom Steyer how he would grade Gavin Newsom for his two terms as governor.
He would not.
"I haven't followed it closely enough to give him a grade."
@JAYRJAYSHOW Facts… honestly where you are from in the bay and what era you grew up in has a major impact. Growing up in Oakland at Keak’s apex puts him higher for me than some others would have him
San Jose Mayor @MattMahanSJ says the next governor of California needs to be a “change agent.”
I asked if that person is in the race right now?
“I haven’t seen it yet.”
Mahan also says he’s not ruling out a run for governor.
Also grades government in California as a whole.
“We’d be lucky to get a C right now.”
