i think long-term stress changes people quietly. you become less expressive, less excited, more tired, more detached, until one day you barely recognize the version of yourself that existed before survival mode.
When people don’t consider you in the same way you consider them, let them go. There’s actually so many people in the world that can match your energy and love you the way you love.
People can only meet you as deeply as they’ve met themselves and if you carry a lot of depth and have the inner world of an ocean it will feel like drowning to anyone who’s never left the shore
