ETFs brought me to crypto almost 12 years ago. The BTC ETF journey advanced bitcoin's regulatory status further than any will ever appreciate. This one is every bit as wild. ETFs are amazing financial technology. Glad spot crypto is part of that. As Jed Bartlett said, #WhatsNext
That was thrilling. To be clear:
*SEC APPROVES PLANS FROM NYSE, CBOE, NASDAQ FOR SPOT ETHER ETFS
*SEC STILL NEEDS TO APPROVE ISSUER PLANS FOR SPOT ETHER ETFS
*SEC HAS NOT ISSUED FULL APPROVAL FOR SPOT ETHER ETFS TO TRADE

🚨NEW: A little tidbit I received: Commissioner Crenshaw is actually out on maternity leave right now.
Delegated authority means the Commission let the staff approve the $ETH ETFs on its behalf.
Unclear if Crenshaw’s absence was a factor in that decision.
TO BE CLEAR: This does not mean they will begin trading tomorrow. This is just 19b-4 approval. Also needs to be an approval on the S-1 documents which is going to take time. We’re expecting it to take a couple weeks but could take longer. Should know more within a week or so!
