1. Don't play the woman card. You were not criticized for your gender, but for your choice of clothes in an ad. You are bringing gender into this to make it a women's issue and seek wider support from women and male feminists. It's not a gender issue. Even Ranveer Singh was criticized on Twitter for a nude photoshoot. He didn't play the gender card.

2. Personal choice stops where public commercialization begins. What you wear off-camera is entirely your prerogative. You've been in this business for years. Until now, nobody bothered you about your choice of clothes. You know why? Because nobody actually cares what you wear. The outrage here comes from a commercial choice: sexualizing a deeply sacred festival celebrated by millions. Context dictates appropriateness. If a male actor appeared bare-chested while portraying the brother in that exact scene, the public pushback would be identical. The issue is sacredness and context, not gender.

3. Claiming "clothes don't define culture" directly contradicts human history. Attire is a foundational visual language of every global tradition, you cannot wear a Kimono and call it Indian ethnic wear, nor can you strip a festival of its sacred aesthetic without altering its significance. If attire truly has zero bearing on cultural respect, then tomorrow is Eid. Can you wear that exact same outfit you wore in that ad and wish Eid Mubarak? You said clothes don't define the respect you have for culture in your heart. So do it and we'll take our criticism back.

Respecting a tradition means honoring its context, not commodifying it under the guise of fashion.

In India, unfortunately, education means school infrastructure, brightly coloured benches, mural paintings on walls, and brightly painted walls. That’s it.

No one talks about the quality of teaching, because the moment the quality of teaching is discussed, merit will be discussed, reservation will be discussed, and no political party is comfortable talking about it.

Vegetables become “vegitable” and deer becomes “dear,” but hey, look at the benches they’re so good! Look at the wall paintings they don’t even look like they belong in a school in India! Show them the quality of education, and it looks like school in Bangladesh.

This is what happens when people who have themselves failed basic exams three times demand improvements in education, while those who are genuinely educated and believe in merit no longer see any hope.

Why sugarcoat the issue by demanding reservation reforms when the real issue is, reservation should not exist at all.
Reservation is regressive because it denies opportunities to capable students & candidates while giving preference to candidates who may not even have the basic skills of reading writing comprehending needed for education or jobs. This does not help society move forward. Instead of reserving seats or jobs based on caste, the government should provide free or subsidised education to anyone who genuinely cannot afford it. Help people who need help but do not compromise merit. Give everyone equal opportunities & let ability decide who moves ahead

‘रिजर्वेशन हटाओ आंदोलन’ का हर्ष दुबे के इस प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस को कोई समर्थन नहीं है। चूँकि हम इस आंदोलन से वैचारिक रूप से जुड़े थे, इसलिए कल मेरी उपस्थिति वहाँ थी। हमने ना तो यह आंदोलन बुलाया था, ना प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस।

जो लोग हर्ष या अन्य लोगों के बुलाने पर जंतर मंतर आए थे, उनसे विनम्र निवेदन है कि वो अपने घरों को प्रस्थान करें। कोई तो कारण रहा होगा कि मैंने ऐसे किसी आंदोलन के लिए लोगों को इतनी शीघ्रता से बुलाने से मना किया था।

कोई भी पार्टी इसे यह ना समझे कि आंदोलन समाप्त हो चुका है। हम चर्चा करेंगे, लोगों को बताएँगे और हम शीघ्र ही वापस आएँगे और इस संख्या से बहुत बड़ी संख्या में आएँगे।

Then the smallest perceived slight happens and the first society destroys the second society’s car in broad daylight, knowing the system will probably bend backwards to manage his ego before it protects the victim.

@SiddharthKG7 Once in Delhi, traffic was stopped for a VIP convoy during peak summer rush hour. One guy started honking, then two, then four and soon the whole road became a hoarse horn symphony. The cop opening the barricade looked strangely fearful and rushed.
