Thanks to the Welsh politicians who are supporting the 500,000 children who can't reliably detect speeds above 20mph, the 600,000 with concessionary travel passes, and the 300,000 households with no car. Thanks to Welsh drivers by delivering safer streets and mobility for all.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned - nothing compared to what’s happening now while the planet burns.

Given that scientists who study 100% renewable energy systems are unanimous that it can be done, why do we hear daily on twitter and everywhere else by those who don't study such systems that it can't be done?
@NilsPratley I read your article ‘Small nuclear reactors are a big, but sensible, step forward – now get on with it’. How do you deal with the radioactive waste?
Determined Ripon mother writes about cycling her children to Primary School on a busy, narrow, dangerous village road which @northyorksc has refused to make 20mph.

In an LTN how is my freedom of movement curtailed when I’m walking?
It isn’t.
Is my freedom of movement in an LTN curtailed when I’m on my bike, then?

In England local authorities of all colours have set 20mph limits for most urban/village roads for 20 million people. Wales is doing it the sensible way for its 3.1 million people with a 20mph default. Other countries are setting 20mph/30kmh as an urban/village norm
Last fall I visited Helsinki, a city where crash deaths have fallen sharply (including a year without any ped/cyclist fatalities at all).
I asked an urban official what role technology has played in his city's safety success. His answer: "Zero. We simply slowed down cars."
Tell Government to invest in cycling, not more motorways, to reach net zero. Let's rebalance our transport system so that people have safe and accessible sustainable transport options like cycling, walking, and public transport. https://t.co/f9sj6zBm4j
Just back from London. Default 20mph throughout much of the City. Traffic significantly slower. It works. It’s accepted. It’s become normal. What’s the problem? @20sPlentyNYorks
