@Nightshade386 @bookscharming In life, I agree; respect any pronouns someone wants. I've just found my readers hate it when I use gender neutral pronouns for my protagonists.
@bookscharming Never. Again. I have a novel that's driving me crazy with its gender neutral pronouns. It doesn't read well at all. I used pe/per which was fine with me but irritated readers. Then switched to they/them, which is still irritating.
What are your favorite satires of all time?

@DarnayJesse If you have time, listen to the whole album -- the tracks are all very different but part of a cohesive whole (I have an unedited manuscript that's low priority based on this album). But if you're limited on time, "Brainwash!" is maybe the best sample.
@DarnayJesse I love these old pulpy covers and tag lines. It's something we used to do with my band Mannequin Planet. All our songs were about b-movies.

Such crystalline detail of sensation.
"Nostalgia is a product of dissatisfaction and rage. It's a settling of grievances between the present and past. The more powerful the nostalgia, the closer you come to violence. War is the form nostalgia takes when men are hard-pressed to say something good about their country."
My toothbrush absconded with my razor last night. I don't know how long they've been having an affair or how long they've been planning on leaving me, but despite their living in separate apartments, they have eloped and vamoosed.
