This happens if the player has very long arms (like Aaron Judge) or if they consistently impact the ball deep in the zone or far out front.

@buckthepigpen @nut_history BB Savant swing length definition does not determine what defines a long and short swing. Judge's swing is one of the most efficient and compact. I didn't school you, your tweets did it for you.

@buckthepigpen @nut_history Dude, these pics are taken at different points in their swings. Vlad Sr's swing was long. Aaron Judge's swing is super short. 300 avg is tough because defense and pitching is phenomenal, and because analytics show its not that important.
