Sorry, men: telling me you’re glad you were circumcised against your consent as a baby, is all well and good. I appreciate that. But you have nothing to compare it to. You had no choice, and you’ve never lived life as an uncircumcised man.

Your perspective is such as it is purely because we live in a culture where circumcision is inexplicably and ridiculously still the norm—and not only that but also a culture that tacitly tells us uncut penises are gross or unhygienic.

So while I appreciate your perspective, it deserves a hefty grain of salt just like mine (as a woman) does.

The only reason you’re fond of circumcision is that society tells you to be.

'Vaccination, circumcision and formula feeding (among other things) are part of the bond breaking cycle. These are done to create trauma as early as possible in a child's life.

When you are born you should have skin to skin contact immediately and be by the mother. What does our society do? They inject a newborn with synthetic vitamin k and a hepatitis B vaccine.

If they are a boy they are whisked away to be mutilated. In the US the average breastfeeding time is a pathetic 3 months compared to several years by the rest of the world.

The early bond and attachment between a child and parent is broken as fast as possible by creating repeated trauma. A child learns quickly within their psyche that the parent is leaving them when they are vulnerable.

Research shows vaccines and circumcision initiate the fight or flight response and create PTSD in the child.

The trauma can lead to depression, anger, low self-esteem and problems with intimacy. The pain caused by the repeated trauma can also rewire the child's brain to be more sensitive to pain later on in life. This is why we have a society of people looking to hide their pain with alcohol, drugs, crappy food, medications, etc." Chris
