Surprisingly good news on all the pension allowances changes. Inevitable that after abolishing the LTA, a cap (£268k) will be placed on tax-free cash #Budget2023
Unclear why recent Chancellors seem to think it's a good idea to release most of the "good news" in advance, running the risk of the media focus being on the bad news on budget day itself. Big change from Gordon Brown's day when no-one not even the PM knew anything beforehand.
@williamjharte@johndarvall@bbcrb I am extremely sorry to hear of your loss, William. Not sure there is much I can say or do to assist but let's hope the Regulator can step in and help. As you say you are not the only one but that makes it worse not better.
Interesting discussion with @johndarvall on @bbcrb this pm about the origins of the state pension. Reference to LLoyd-George's 1908 first Old Age Pension Act, the Beverage reforms of 1948 and more recent changes to pension ages and entitlements.
Very sad to hear about the passing of Peter Weiner. I have very fond memories of Peter throughout my 13 years as CEO of TPAS.. He was an absolute stalwart for the service, a lovely man and someone much admired by all. R.I.P dear friend. You will be sorely missed.
Good news on the vaccine front but the day of reckoning on the economic impact has still to come. Pensions will not be excluded https://t.co/Wu83oEGVaL

@MattJLDavies@jjt_pensions Hi James. Hope you are well. Not so much a guru these days, certainly not on SIPPS for ex-pats! Would it be possible for you to get in touch with Matt and see if you can assist him with his query?
