#DelhiNCR has an estimated 3,00,000 stray dogs.

To keep them permanently in shelters, basic costs per year would be:

🐾 Food (1 meal/day): ₹20 per dog/day → ₹60,00,000/day → ₹219 crore/year

💉 Vaccination (annual): ₹300/dog → ₹9 crore/year

✂ Sterilisation (one-time, over 2 years): ₹1,200/dog → ₹36 crore

🏥 Basic Medical Care: ₹500/dog/year → ₹15 crore/year

🏠 Shelter Construction & Maintenance: Minimum ₹15,000/dog → ₹4,500 crore (one-time)

🛡 Security & Staff: ₹3,000/dog/year → ₹900 crore/year

💥 Total first-year cost: ₹5,679 crore

💥 Subsequent annual running cost: ₹1,143 crore/year

All this for just #Delhi — not the rest of #India

Daily, we receive SOS alerts: “Dogs are about to be poisoned.” “Puppies burned.” “Cows beaten with iron rods.” These go unreported.

These inflated numbers create mass fear, which leads to brutal consequences: stray dogs are poisoned, relocated, beaten, burned alive or driven over by vehicles — a direct result of fearmongering fueled by irresponsible journalism.

🆘Let’s be clear: There is no scientific or verified data confirming 30 lakh dog bite cases by 60 million dogs as claimed. On the contrary, every dog bite incident must be examined in context — most attacks are provoked, arising due to chronic abuse, starvation, and psychological trauma, murder & Torture inflicted on dogs & Animals by humans.

🧠 The Psychology of Animal Behavior & Human-Caused Trauma - Victim, Not Villain

🇮🇳 Animals do not attack without provocation. 100% of animal attacks are defensive or stress-induced, rooted in years of cruelty. Imagine being beaten, burnt, chased, starved, and still expected to behave docilely and peacefully?

⚠If the same abuse happened to humans or their kids for years, would they not break down psychologically and attack the abuser?

Animal Birth Control (ABC) Rules, 2023:

Rule 11: Mandates returning dogs to their original locality post-sterilization/vaccination.
Rule 10(2): Requires designated feeding spots for dogs in consultation with recognised Animal Welfare Organisations (AWOs).
Rule 7(4): Defines unwarranted capture/relocation as cruelty.

1. Reconsider & withdraw the August 11, 2025 order in light of ABC Rules 2023, PCA Act 1960, and prior Supreme Court rulings.
