Honored to deliver a keynote speech at @sgfintechfest, sharing my journey and thoughts on the evolving landscape of blockchain security.

Starting @CertiK in 2018 with a simple vision: to bring provable security to blockchain. From assembling IKEA furniture in a tiny Manhattan apartment to working with over 4,700 clients globally, the journey has been incredible.

But as the blockchain space grows, so do the risks. It’s not just about protecting lines of code anymore; it’s about safeguarding trust. The Merlin incident last year was a pivotal moment, revealing how insider threats can bypass even the most rigorous audits. A letter from the UN confirmed the exploit was tied to a malicious insider linked to North Korea. This showed us that technical solutions alone aren’t enough.

At CertiK, we’ve taken this lesson to heart. We’ve strengthened our processes by introducing real-time monitoring and robust KYC checks. Transparency remains central to our mission: we openly share audit reports and KYC findings, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Blockchain holds immense potential, but to unlock it for the next billion users, we need a secure and trustworthy environment. This is a collective effort, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute. Together, we can ensure Web3 thrives as a safe space for all.
