Police seek public's help in Gugulethu mass shooting investigation

The Serious and Violent Crimes Unit in the Western Cape is calling on the public to help trace two men who may hold vital information about the recent mass murder of seven men in Gugulethu.

Linde Madolo and Loyiso Matinisi, whose images have been circulated by police, are not currently suspects. However, investigators believe the pair could provide key insights into the circumstances of the killings.

Authorities urge anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact Sergeant Sithembele Sambunjelwa at 073 416 5224. All information will be handled with strict confidentiality.

Bongani Maina from Phase 7, Mangaung, Bloemfontein, has been missing since 08h00 am on Friday, June 27, 2025.

He was last seen heading out to play, possibly in Phase 6, but never returned. His family is deeply concerned and appealing for public assistance.

Missing Person Alert – Please Help!

Mbali Ncaku from Bramley took an E-hailing service this morning on her way to TUT to write her exams. She sent a concerning message to her friend after the driver allegedly asked her to sit in front and cancel the trip.

Since then, no one has been able to reach her, and her family is extremely worried about her safety.

The police allegedly didn't assist the family.
