Current Ebola update as of 4 June 2026.
It’s important to note that all the cases under treatment are progressing and recovering well.
The new case is a Congolese national, an imported case.
The country remains safe and open for business, leisure and trade.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.
Today or this week, call a man in your life and ask:
"How are you really doing?"
Listen without judgement. Men need support too.

You left for maternity leave as one person. You came back as another. The workplace rarely acknowledges this- we think it's time to change that.
This #IWD, we held the FutureReady Caregivers Lab for mothers navigating exactly this.

82% Stressed: Uncovering the Hidden Mental Health Burden Among Kampala’s Taxi Drivers
A new study by Dr. Linda Kyomuhendo Jovia, a medical doctor and graduate of the Master of Public Health programme at Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH), has found high levels of psychological distress among minibus taxi drivers operating in Kampala’s major taxi parks. In a cross-sectional survey of 422 drivers across Old, New, Kisenyi, Usafi, Namirembe, Nakawa, and Nateete parks, nearly two-thirds screened positive for symptoms of depression (65.6%), while anxiety affected more than 70%, and stress an estimated 82%.
The findings point to a largely overlooked occupational health concern within the city’s informal transport sector, where long working hours, economic pressure, poor sleep, and prior road accidents were associated with higher levels of mental strain.

Mothers give so much every single day. 💛
This #InternationalWomensDay, the Future Ready Caregivers Lab was our small way of giving back—supporting moms with skills, community, and space to grow.
This International Women’s Day, #GlobalShapers Community Kampala Hub together with Malketha Maternal Services, MindLab Africa and Dear Maama invite you to the #FutureReady Caregivers Lab - a free, one-day experience created to help mothers re-enter the workforce with confidence.
@HeartUganda successfully completed the 3rd closed-heart surgery camp at @MbararaHospital, performing eight life-saving procedures for children across Mbarara and neighbouring districts. Four days of intensive care brought smiles, hope, and restored health to families.
We extend our deepest gratitude to @GovUganda and @MinofHealthUg for championing the decentralisation of heart services, now a consistent reality at Regional Referral Hospitals nationwide.
