every single scene in this movie has the most insane camera work, i would love to see spielberg direct another spy thriller and go god mode like this again
I saw someone say last week that this would have been a magnificent shot to end a career on, but Spielberg kept making films, because he doesn't give a shit about having a "perfect filmography" or anything like that. He just wants to make movies man, that's what it's all about.
If I could inherit only one skill from only one director in all of history, I'd choose Spielberg's blocking & staging. Not only are these shots full of graceful spatial genius, but the storytelling rhythm of these flowing compositions are perfect as well. One of one.
