✂️ Less surface. More focus.

We just removed the private_link circuit and the entire account-mapping implementation from Orbinum. Runtime upgraded, circuit retired, on-chain registry purged, npm package cleaned.

Why remove a feature? Because focus is a feature.

🔹 Every circuit we ship is attack surface: more audits, more maintenance, more places for vulnerabilities to hide
🔹 Cross-chain identity linking was pulling energy away from what actually matters
🔹 Our core is the shielded pool, and it deserves 100% of our ZK effort

And here's the thing: the shielded pool already does the connecting. Today you can send a private transfer from an EVM address to an SS58 (Substrate) address, seamlessly. Tomorrow? Maybe a Solana address. The pool is the bridge, no extra circuits, no identity mapping, no added surface. That's the direction we're doubling down on.

The rest of that effort goes where you feel it: solving real problems like fast note recovery, hardening the proving pipeline, and scaling the pool.

Three circuits. One mission. Shield, transfer, unshield. Private by default, across address types.

Withdrawals used to land in your own wallet. Now you pick: paste any Substrate (SS58) or EVM address.

The proof always treated the recipient as a public input, the interface was the part that assumed it was you. Shield from EVM, withdraw to Substrate. Or the reverse.

Note: the destination is public on-chain. The pool keeps your history private, the exit is visible. A fresh address keeps it that way.

⚡ Three extra on-chain quests

Shield, private transfer, and unshield now each have an optional counterpart, 15 credits, 3 per week, once per day.

They don't touch your streak, so missing one costs nothing. Each needs its own transaction.

🔹 Faucet now drips 5 ORB, down from 10. Same 24h cooldown. More testers, same tap, better it keeps flowing than runs dry.

If your shielded notes look missing after this update, they're not lost, they're just tied to the old key. Re-shield and you're good.

👇 Migrating old notes was possible, but it meant building a whole recovery flow for testnet funds that carry no value. We'd rather spend that time on what's next.
