Malta actively participated in today's joint meeting, condemning Russia’s large-scale attacks targeting civilians, calling for accountability, and stressing that Malta’s🇲🇹 solidarity with Ukraine🇺🇦 and commitment to support Ukraine’s resilience and sovereignty remain unwavering.

Today, a special joint meeting of the @OSCE Permanent Council and the Forum for Security Co-operation in Vienna was convened at Ukraine’s demand.

This joint meeting addressed Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks against Ukraine, as well as Moscow’s latest threats.

OSCE Participating States clearly condemned Russian terror and reaffirmed their strong commitment to continue supporting Ukraine.

Despite Moscow’s attempts to intimidate our state and foreign diplomats, the international community firmly stands with Ukraine.

I value all messages of genuine solidarity and support, as well as the swift response of the Swiss OSCE Chairpersonship #OSCE26CH and the Georgian Chairpersonship of the Forum for Security Co-operation #FSC2026GEO in convening this meeting.

I am personally grateful to my Swiss and Georgian counterparts, @ignaziocassis and @MakaB__, for their leadership, and to all countries who clearly stood up today in defence of the UN Charter and Helsinki Principles.

Malta strongly condemns Russia’s yet another large-scale attack against Ukraine.

Deliberate strikes targeting civilians are unacceptable and constitute a grave violation of international law and any logic to bring the war to an end. All those responsible for such crimes must be held accountable.

Malta’s solidarity with Ukrainian people remains unwavering as well as our commitment to support Ukraine’s resilience and sovereignty.
