I feel like a lot of anti-immigration arguments consist more of straight deportation than figuring out why they're migrating in the first place.

Yorgen Fenech has been cleared of involvement in the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, with jurors returning an 8-1 not guilty verdict for both charges he faced.

Relatives of Fenech's shouted in jubilation as the jury foreperson read out the verdict just after 7.30pm on Wednesday. Members of Caruana Galizia's family were seen weeping in the courtroom.

Jurors spent just over eight hours deliberating after Judge Edwina Grima concluded her address on Wednesday morning.

Fenech stood accused of complicity in the murder, as well as conspiring to kill her.

He faced up to life in prison but walks out of court a free man.

The Maltese Justice System declaring Yorgen Fenech not guilty for compliance with Daphne's murder and conspiracy of murder just shows how low this country's government can stoop, and at this rate, it might just get lower.
