Ardbeg Day announcement!

@Ardbeg Blaaack celebrates the 20th anniversary distillery's 'Committee'. To honour their 'flock', this whisky has been matured in pinot noir casks from New Zealand, a country where sheep outnumber residents 7:1. It'll be bottled at 46% - £94 RRP.

While sampling at the #Amrut #Distillery, Ryan wasn’t satisfied with just tasting casks at the bottom. He jokingly suggested a tasting from the top! Our Amrut hosts did in fact fulfill his request. They climbed to the top and pulled a barrel sample. It was well worth the climb!

The Birsay whalebone has stood strong in Orkney for over 100 years. After a large whale washed ashore in 1870 and was harvested by locals, the remains were transformed into a monument with many believing it was a landmark for fishermen, and others a superstitious mark of respect.
