Marathon is one of the best sci-fis I’ve ever seen. Insanely cool lore and the space horror tone is fantastic. It took time to figure out if I liked the game itself, but 12 HRS in and I’ve decided it’s a banger. Bungie cooked here. The art style serves a purpose. I’ll make a vid.

It's so inspiring to me when big studios go quiet then show you what they've been cooking this whole time. Blizz just crushed it today with the Overwatch drop. Sick art.

A brief overview of my new procedural halftone shader, built in Maya LookdevX with Arnold + MaterialX nodes. This build is not software agnostic as there are some key Arnold nodes that it depends on. I learned a massive amount and tried to push LookdevX to the limit.
@maxonzbrush something terrifying about a minimal UI for a program with a million functions... I much prefer having settings exposed. Please give us the option to toggle the old UI and there will be no issues🙏

@pberto Cool maybe I'll check that out some time, I only just discovered I enjoy making shaders! Ultimately my work is in Maya so it's where my flag is planted but I am always interested in how other programs do things.
