After compiling a very ROUGH DRAFT of the top 30 on this list, this group has AVERAGE measurables of 6’4” 290!

13 of them hold a Division 1 offer

That is insane 🤯

This group is 🔥

🚨 2025 Season Preview 🚨

Houston St. Pius X
TAPPS D1, District 2

HC: @sstephens21
Team: @SPXPanthers

@Onlyy1Amir @n8_crra @Landon_MTZ2027 @CWill2028 @Malyq_Barnes @isaiah_marron1 @Abrahamsoccer07 @AmuriSikes @MarcosSolaisJr @TreyFinney2
@Drebrown1k_ @Abkirklin @Ace5starrr @milesharper74 @jonithehooper
@MaseBrown5712 @3xhumble @grantgunnell7

Call it bold, but don’t call it crazy, this could be the year St. Pius X returns to the spotlight in TAPPS Division I, District 2. Head Coach Stephen Stephens has reignited energy in the Panthers program, bringing both excitement and exposure to his players.

Leading the charge is do-it-all playmaker Amir Parks-Brooks, a true Swiss army knife who can line up in the backfield or out wide. His dynamic play has already drawn Division I attention, including an offer from Western Kentucky. He’ll be joined by another explosive athlete, Trey Finney, a young speedster with multiple D1 offers who’s poised to be a Friday night game-changer.

At quarterback, Noah Carrasco returns with a full year of experience in the system, ready to lead the offensive unit with poise and confidence. He’ll have plenty of weapons at his disposal, including reliable targets Andrew Kirklin and Mason Brown.

On the defensive side, the Panthers have a strong core in the box with Marcos Solais, Asiah Peavy, Collin Williams, and Amuri Sikes anchoring the interior. In the secondary, look for Dre Gordon-Brown to lead a solid and athletic group that’s capable of making plays.

With at least four players already holding Division I offers, there’s no question that the talent is there. The real question: can the Panthers put it all together and make a serious run at the district title?

Time will tell, but don’t be surprised if St. Pius is back in the mix come playoff time.

2026 Houston St Pius X OL Malyq Barnes is a mountain.

Standing at 6’8 270, Barnes certainly looks like someone will suit up at the next level and just picked up an offer from UMHB.

Having a basketball background, the athleticism at his size is there. Definitely excited to see him this upcoming season.

Love to see this!

2 guys with next level Measurables deciding to give 🏈 a shot despite focusing primarily on other sports!

@Malyq_Barnes is a 6’8” 270 Hooper for @SPXPanthers !

and

@_Brayden_Ray is a 6’7” 260 baseball player for @twcasports !

Props to these two and their coaches for giving football a try! May end up messing around and going D1! They certainly have the Measurables…
