@EDUwithEmily In order for that to happen, schools need to stop threatening parents with truancy charges. I refuse to send my immunocompromised child to school sick but I'm constantly worried that the cops are going to come to my door.
@mskkeverett DM me your email and I'll send you everything I have. I'm not teaching anymore but I loved teaching that. I also have various things adapted for learning differences.
Hurricane Ian took all the water out of Tampa Bay because climate change is a hoax and these storms are absolutely not getting stronger, more frequent, and more devastating each year.
But at least I had a choice! If a found myself pregnant last month, having an abortion, even to save my life, would have destroyed me. But my family that exists matters more than the fetus that could never be. Children before cells! #RoeVsWade
Consider this for a moment: I had a hysterectomy at 31 which probably saved my life. They found precancerous endometrial lesions in my uterine wall. I went to multiple doctors before finding one who would agree in 2012 because I was "so young". I had 2 kids. 1/
People will say this is a hypothetical but a woman is raped every 7 seconds in this country. It's more of a "when" than "if". My first labor almost killed me, a ruptured cyst almost killed me, I almost bled to death during my hysterectomy, and cancer would have killed me. 6/
The medication that my daughters take to prevent or at least delay their possibility of having endometriosis like their mom. The medication that prevents one from having her period every 6 days for 7-10 days each time with excruciating pain since she had COVID. 5/
I could not make a choice to save my own life. I would leave my girls without a mother, make my husband a widow and single parent, and no one could do anything for me. My life and rights mean nothing! Next on the chopping block are the medications that could prevent pregnancy. 4/
The pregnancy would not be viable. Thankfully, my husband had already had a vasectomy. However, I am a woman and a SA survivor so I know the reality. If I was to be raped and get pregnant, that fetus would be implanted in a vital organ and would not survive. Yet, as of today, 3/
The doctor that finally agreed left my fallopian tubes and ovaries. He said that was best for my health compared to a lifetime of hormone replacement therapy. I would still have cycles and could still get pregnant, but pregnancy would most likely kill me. 2/
