The sad fact is, if Tyler Robinson had used his gun to massacre students at Utah Valley University instead of just fatally shooting Charlie Kirk Republicans wouldn't care this much.
@_shwabade_ why do boys hate it when you tell them exactly what you need from them and they instead try offering you the dumbest suggestions you’ve ever heard in your life because it’s easier than letting themselves just be emotionally receptive for a couple minutes?
It irritates me because a lot of dudes will listen for 5 seconds and then give you the most basic advice ever and it’s like… do you truly believe that I couldn’t think of that myself? 😐 Bro just nod and hug please
I’m tired of the “if you feel like you gotta fake an orgasm that’s crazy” takes from men. We know this. Yes it’s crazy.
But how safe of a space are you creating for women to be honest that your dick game is weak & you not pleasing her without your ego being bruised??
Lots of people have a spouse, but feel completely alone—because they really want is a partner. Someone who contributes without asking. Who develops more emotional intelligence, and has the patience to work through issues instead of running from them.
so much allistic analysis of autism is "difficulty understanding social cues" when it's often actually "refuses to accede to arbitrary social constraint without reason"
Stop asking my 12 year old if he has a
girlfriend.
He’s 12.
He’s a child who likes comic books and screaming outside for no reason. Relationships are not for children.
Also stop telling kids "you're so cute/handsome/beautiful I bet all the boys/girls will be trying to date you!"
How about "you're so kind, you have such a great sense of humor."
If you want a society that goes more than skin deep you have to change the language and the culture starting at home. -Anonymous
Being empathetic towards a child’s emotional state will NEVER spoil them.
When we hold space for their emotions, we teach them empathy, compassion & responsiveness.
Insensitivity & apathy are all learned behaviors from people who were not given space to process their emotions.
“I know my students.”
And they know you. I know that you are a leader and role model in their community and you laughed at a threat to a young woman in your class so she, he, and everyone else thought it was expected to laugh too.
Not only that it actually solidifies the argument of harm to women for rejection being “humorous” and accepted by society.
It’s just jokes people confuse me so much sometimes. Why is that a funny joke?
I want my children to develop reasoning/critical thinking skills. I want them to have a sense of personal agency.
Can’t do that if they are taught to automatically do what they’re told. If every decision is made for them, how will they curate their sense of exploration? HOW?!
@SupernovaMomma .. I remember when my kids were little & doing normal “sibling rivalry” stuff & I forced them to apologise to each other. Then 1 day it dawned on me to stop teaching them to apologize out of formalityas they would never learn to do it from a genuine place.
