@Larryferlazzo Remove politics from education and let us teach like we need to for student success. Too much teaching to the test due to fear of losing funding is leading to kids getting lost in the shuffle. Politicians have no business messing with education.
@FixingEducation That they pay my salary and therefore, I gave to listen to them as my boss. This is also the attitude that some students bring to the classroom.
@BrianMendler Doesn't "investigate" their roster before the start of the year. Every child gets a clean slate at the start of a new year. They decide what's written on it.
@DrP_Principal Absolutely!! Had some new teachers ask me for advice and I told them to remember they set the tone for their classroom. If they are in a bad mood, their class will be bad. Good mood = good day. If you aren't in a good mood, them fake it till ya make it!
@AneyasW@C3Elite7v7@HannibalFootbal Let them keep it up! They don't know they are feeding your fire. Just remember what we talked about and continue to trust the one who's led you this far. You've got a great big support system to combat the haters.
Let’s stop using the word “homework” & “class work”, and instead call it “practice”. Stop categorizing learning activities by the location where it’s supposed to take place, & instead name it for its purpose.
If we burn out teachers our education system will never meet the needs of learners. This, in turn, will dramatically impact society and not in a good way. They are people and have limits.
