@_DOGPOOL_ Corgis are herding dogs. VERY rarely are they biters. Heel nippers, yes. Biters, no. Nipping can be hugely minimized with training & consistent reinforcement. The math ain't mathing. Someone wasn't invested enough in the dog to curb the problem behavior.
@PaulAnleitner@ChrisKindaReads One of my favorite things ever is getting a text or phone call from my 43yo son telling me about a book he's reading or one he thinks I'd enjoy. I taught him to read by accident when he was 3 and he's never stopped.
@wildfreakouts No. Mom shouldn't have trashed the room. Yes. Daughter could have done/said triggered Mom's behavior. No. That doesn't justify Mom's tantrum. And NOTHING justifies saying such a hateful thing to your child. Ever.
@fem_mindset No worries, ma'am. I'm short enough that a "chest to chest" hug is even worse, so I don't hug at all. I'll wave, I'll shake hands, I'll air kiss if one of us is seated, but I ain't hugging anyone.
@MatrixMysteries My degrees are not money makers. I knew that going in. I studied things that interested me (history & theology). I paid for the privilege out of pocket. Degrees like hers (& mine) should not be eligible for student loans.
@financedystop His mom's purpose wasn't primarily engineering. It was providing for/contributing to the welfare of her family. Engineering was just a method she enjoyed and/or had a skill for.
@heyitsmeCarolyn After watching a teenager in grandma's car with handicapped plates pull into a handicapped parking spot, let their teenage friend out who then runs into the store to grab junk food & then try this on a cop who watched the whole thing, this makes me happy.
