SACR’s PAIA request has resulted in SEDFA releasing the beneficiary list.
The figures raise important questions:
- 1,316 beneficiaries approved
- R79.6 million approved
- R57.3 million disbursed to 931 beneficiaries as at 7 August 2026
- SEDFA’s total contribution: R150 million
Based on SEDFA’s figures, 385 approved beneficiaries had not yet received disbursements as at 7 August.
There is also a significant gap between the amount approved and the amount actually disbursed.
Who are the beneficiaries? Where are they located? Why were some approved but not yet disbursed? And how has the money been allocated?
We are publishing the full beneficiary list and will be analysing the data.
Join our new Telegram group to access the documents and follow the analysis as we dig deeper into the figures.

There is no government that would summon our Ambassadors if the government actually enforced immigration laws.
Immigration laws are enforced all over Africa and rest of the world, and no one says its xenophobia. The issue in SA, is a failing government that leads to citizens having to step in.
The only solution is a government actually enforcing the immigration laws !!!
