Nervous? A little.
Excited? Absolutely.
The boy from Calicut is going to Bangalore.
Most festivals celebrate gods.
This one celebrates a war.
A war fought by a goddess - for her people.
Would you experience this festival if you could?
This is what 100 Days, 100 Stories looks like.
The king arrived with his full army.
What he didn’t expect - the goddess herself showed up in battle attire.
She led the people of Chittur into war.
The invading forces were driven back.
And legend says - Chittoor Amma beheaded the Kongu king herself.
Terrified, the people turned to the only one who could save them.
Chittoor Amma - their fierce warrior goddess, a form of Bhadrakali.
They read the king’s message aloud before her.
Her answer?
“I will protect every one of my children.”
The Kongu king Rajadhiraja didn’t ask questions.
He sent one message to Chittur:
“Return what you stole - or I will burn your town to the ground and kill every living soul.”
The people of Chittur had done nothing wrong.
But the army was already marching.
15th century. Palakkad was a thriving trade hub.
Two merchants from Kongunadu finished their business and headed home.
On the way - their cart, oxen, and goods were swept away in a river.
Fearing their king’s wrath, they lied.
“The people of Chittur stole everything.”
A king threatened to destroy an entire town.
The people had one last hope.
Their goddess.
The story of how a Mother Goddess saved Chittur - and why we still celebrate it today.
Day 1 of 100 Days, 100 Stories. 🧵
That victory is what we celebrate today.
The Chittoor Kongan Pada Festival - held every year in the Malayalam month of Kumbham.
The entire story, from the king’s threat to his defeat, is reenacted over several days.
A festival most people outside Kerala have never heard of.
Most people scroll for entertainment.
I’m here to change that.
Starting today - 100 Days. 100 Stories.
Stories they buried in history books.
Markets that changed the world overnight.
People you’ve never heard of - who shaped everything.
Events that made no sense until now.
Every single day. No breaks. No skipping.
Day 1 drops today night.
Voltas up +5.55% today. ₹1,303.30 📈
AC stocks don’t lie. Voltas is worth watching for the short term.
Not advice. Just an observation from someone who reads charts and follows patterns.
What do you think - is this a real move or just noise?
Good morning. ☀️
It’s Thursday.
The week is almost done - but the curious ones don’t stop here.
One story drops today that most people have never heard of.
Stay tuned.
Starting something I’ve wanted to do for a while.
I’m Sid. 23. MBA Finance grad. About to enter the corporate world.
But my real obsession? The stories nobody talks about. Market patterns most people miss. And the facts that make you stop and think.
If you’re curious about the world - you’re in the right place.
