Notebook 📕

Utah’s 61.5% success rate on the power play stands as the highest of any NHL team at the start of a season through four games since tracking began in ‘77-78.

Utah started last season 1/16 on the power play.

They've started this season 8/12.

Absolutely unreal.

Note from the admin… you’ll see me throw Arizona notes in here from time to time

The two histories are not connected (at least according to the NHL) but the Yotes can still be a good reference point for a lot of things

[Mammoth Stats @MammothStatsX]

Though its a really small sample size, Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz have tied a Utah record for longest points streak (3 games) to open a season

Craig Janney holds the Arizona record with a point in 5 straight games to begin 1997-98
