NYSC Has No Link To NANS Mobilisation Levy

The attention of the Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been drawn to a viral publication titled, “NANS Moves to Collect N200 Levy from Nigerian Students, Links Dues to NYSC Mobilisation.”

The NYSC wishes to state unequivocally that it has not, at any time, discussed, agreed to, or entered into any Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) regarding the collection of any levy from students in connection with mobilisation for national service.

The Scheme operates under the authority of the Federal Government and implements only policies, guidelines and procedures duly approved by the appropriate government authorities.

For the avoidance of doubt, NYSC mobilisation process is straightforward and is conducted through established official channels. It involves collaboration between the Management of NYSC and the Heads of Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs), who are responsible for providing the required information on their graduates for the purpose of mobilisation.

The mobilisation process is neither linked to nor contingent upon the activities of any student association or organisation.

Consequently, members of the public, particularly Prospective Corps Members and students, are advised to disregard any information suggesting that payment of a levy to NANS or any other association is a requirement for NYSC mobilisation.

The NYSC remains committed to maintaining a transparent, credible and efficient mobilisation process in accordance with extant government policies and guidelines.

To get your serial number and pin;

1. Visit https://t.co/h5X05rxeqF and select the “serial number and pin” menu at the top of the page.
2. Select the appropriate Examination Year and the Diet
3. Enter your Examination Number and your NIN (Ensure the NIN is the same one that was used during your WAEC registration).
4. Enter your Email and Phone Number to generate a One-Time-Password (OTP)
5. Input the OTP to successfully recover your Serial Number and Pin.
